Financing commodities
We are an international trading company involved with all aspects of trading from procurement of general consumer goods to sales of commodities as diverse as sugar, coffee, steel scrap, cement, etc. since 1966.
We are looking to finance 1.8 million metric tons of sugar. After discussing this with the seller we will need the following to make this work for all of us.
1. Total needed $400,000,000.00.
2. Period needed for this sale will be one year.
3. Seller would want a Stand buy letter of credit for $50,000,000.00 and a “Locked Bank Guarantee” for the balance of $350,000,000.00 – As most banks in the US do not issue Bank Guarantees a designated account that can not be drawn upon in Chase Bank would suffice but yet still be in the name of the seller.
4. Seller would consider most any other instrument within a first class bank to assure payment of product for the year as product is being shipped.
5. Buyers (Our company) pays by L/C’s before shipment so arrangements can be made to forward these payments to the lender direct or to the seller thus reducing our obligation to the lender.

We have most if not all of the sugar sold but we can not move forward unless the financing is in place. We could pay on a sale by sale basis but by putting the financing in place we will benefit buy buying the sugar at $200.00 per MT instead of $250.00 plus per MT and then we have no guarantee that the seller would have product on hand when needed.

This is a over view of what I feel would be advantages for all parties please realize that we have orders in house and more important we only have a short window with the seller to close this sale so please do everything possible to expedite the closing of these financial arrangements.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES:
1. Seller provides Soft FCO with Terms/Conditions, Price and Procedure.
2. Buyer issues ICPO/LOI with permission for soft probe of accounts.
3. Seller approves ICPO/LOI and issues Contract and includes Seller’s Bank coordinates.
4. IMFPA will be completed by representatives of Buyer and Seller.
5. Buyer signs, seals and returns Contract to Seller who countersigns, seals and return a copy of the document to the buyer. Both parties lodge a copy of the contract with their respective Bank.
6. Buyer’s bank issues RWA SWIFT MT 799 /BCL (Bank Commitment Letter) (Please find text attached for RWA/BCL) to Seller’s bank to confirm Buyer’s financial capacity to perform as per terms and conditions of the Agreement.
7. After verification of the BCL /RWA, Seller’s Bank issues confirmation of the POP to buyer’s Bank.
8. Within 2 International banking days, Buyer’s bank issues conditional payment order MT103/23.
9. Seller presents full set of POP documents and Ownership title at counters of Buyer’s Bank.
10. Upon receiving the ownership title and pertaining documents Buyer’s bank pays for 100 % of the value of the commodity by SWIFT wire transfer (MT103) directly to the Seller’s designated bank account within 2 banking days.
11. Seller and Buyer lodge the contracts to their bank respectively.

We (Our principals) have four decades of excellent relationship with the royal family and also joint venture agreement with them on Oil Rigs and Exploration.

ARAMCO deals, before any orders made, there is a contract to be signed with fairly stringent conditions. The amount of sweet light crude oil varies from a minimum of 1,000,000.barrels per month up to 20 million barrels per month. A contract of 1 yr,3 yrs of 5yrs. is available.

We don't require any AREMCO numbers (even if you have one, we can certainly augment the bargaining capacity of the refinery in question with AREMCO culminating in higher allocations and discount including prospects for making the deliveries C&F at a competitive cost).

We also don't require BCL or ICPO.

We only require CPA (Crude Processing Agreement) between the refinery and our principal.

Once this is provided and the refinery is agreeable to AREMCO, the deal would be struck and the allocation number shall be released. No finances are exchanged until both parties are satisfied with the deal.

I will NOT sign an NCND with ANY Brokers or Mandates. This protocol is not necessary. We won’t stand for any Broker Chains at all! If you’re a Broker you will need to get an NCND signed with the Buyer or Buyer’s Mandate. (Whomever you’re direct to) The Mandate needs to have a NCND between his/her buyer.
